Clay Day

Updated: Aug 6, 2020

I am so fortunate that I live close to my daughter and her family. We’ve been planning a “Clay Day” for weeks. My daughter Carly actually learned to throw pots in her teens....Quite a few years ago. I told her that it’s like riding a bike and she made her first piece in over 20 years, with no help from mom.

My granddaughter, Adelaide, now 10, is a very creative kid and had her first lesson back when she was about 3 years old. Jensen or JJ, is very independent and has amazing concentration for a soon to be 5 year old. You can see in his eyes how serious his sculpting is to him.

We had great day making tiles and a bit of wheel throwing .... which sometimes leads to mud pies.
